Microscope donation by Science Services ensures enthusiasm in the Senegalese mother-child house
On his project trip to Senegal, Dr. Gerhard Gensthaler, project coordinator at APOTHEKER HELFEN e.V., brought two microscopes to the Maternité in Medina Thioub which were sponsored by Science Services. The mother-child house, which was opened in January 2016, is part of the health center of the Senegalese village.
For the presentation, the lunch break was rescheduled. "One of the employees immediately donated a drop of blood, which we all watched with great enthusiasm in various magnifications", reports Mr. Gensthaler. The head of the Maternité team immediately made a list of possible applications for the microscopes.
Science Services is pleased that the donated microscopes have been well received. We wish you all the best for the future of the Maternité and thank you for the good cooperation with APOTHEKER HELFEN e.V.
