NIGHTSEA’s Stereo Microscope Fluorescence Adapter extends fluorescence to standard routine stereo microscopes with no disassembly or modification of your microscope needed. It is a modular system with 5 excitation/emission combinations to cover a broad optical spectrum.
New Feature: Band-pass filter for GFP emission.
The new band-pass barrier filter is for use with the Royal Blue excitation source (ESFA-RB) and transmits the green part of the spectrum from approx. 500 to 560nm. The primary motivation for the green-only emission filter was for the benefit of researchers using GFP in plants, such as Arabidopsis thaliana. Plants contain chlorophyll, which has a distinctive red fluorescence that can sometimes mask the GFP emission. The filter is also useful for applications in which background autofluorescence reduces viewing contrast.

The NIGHTSEA™ light-head hangers and cables conveniently hold the light-head instead of the gooseneck lamp. The hangers mount to the thumbscrews on the SFA adapter ring. They are available with two different pivot arm lengths for use with long and short working distance microscopes.
A LED white light head is also available as an illumination option for the Stereo Microscope Fluorescence Adapter. Now if you are using the NIGHTSEA™ system for fluorescence you do not need a separate light source for your white-light work - just exchange the fluorescence excitation light head module for the white-light module in a matter of seconds. Extremely convenient for general illumination and as a focusing aid for fluorescence imaging. Comes with a BNC connector.
The DFP-1 Dual Fluorescent Protein Flashlight includes both blue and green high intensity LEDs (3W, 440-460nm and 510-540nm). You can visualize green (GFP, eGFP, ect.) and red (DsRed, TdTomato, ect.) fluorescence. The light comes with two pairs of barrier filter glasses and a convenient carrying case.
